1991 4x2 ClubCab with a 3.9l_V8 engine, built in the Warren,MI plant; sequence number unknown
MileageProblem
unknown I recently purchased a truck which makes a roaring noise above 65mph. It has been in various shops for quite some time and no one can figure it out. Things which have been checked/replaced include:
Harmonic balancer
Torque converter
The bushing at the rear of the transmission(whatever it is)
Both driveshaft yokes
Driveshaft(actually replaced twice)
Differential
Rear axle bearings
All tires and alignment
Motor & transmission mounts

The truck doesn't do this on a lift with the driveshaft out, but does when it is put back in.

Is it possible that some slight imperfection in the rear pinion or drive shaft could have gotten past them?

Any input would be GREATLY appreciated.

Also, why won't chrystler let you talk to anyone but a dealer or a customer service rep who only tells you to talk to a dealer?
I have a phone # for Technical Support, but I need a dealer code.
