MileageProblem
0 Well, the most prominent problem is the pinging (any octane gas). When it was brand-new, it only did it under heavy load (towing uphill). But after it hit 2000 miles, I hear it anytime I'm moderately acclerating (but does NOT do it at WOT). The dealer here claims they can't hear it, but will not go on a test drive with me either!

I also have a paint problem I wont deal with until summer - too much paint was applied on the driver's door, and on the "rocker" panels behind the passenger rear tire. This is most noticed after its been washed and waxed (Intense blue paint), at first I thought they were water runs (missed some water w/ the chamois or something) but turned out to be paint runs!! Also on the pass. door, there's some dust embedded in the paint.
9000 At about 9,000 miles a TSB was performed on the transmission solenoids? to alleviate a CHECK ENGINE light.
14000 It emits a sulfur smell from the Catalytic Converter (noticed recently 14,000 miles) - has yet to be looked at by the dealer.
14500 The front rotors were resurfaced due to warpage.

Despite the problems I've had with this truck - I still think its superior to the Toyota and Chevy turds I've had in the past, now if only the dealer can solve the above problems! If anyone else can give me info, or share experiences, please e-mail at fsdaa1@uaf.edu thanks!
