The "DML G-Tech Pro" is the brainchild of Sam Parthemer
(srp@home.com), who very generously
offered to donate his G-Tech Pro to the DML to help raise additional funds
to pay the list's ISP hosting costs. The basic premise is as follows: For
a $5 donation to the DML, you can use the G-Tech Pro performance meter for a
couple of weeks.
Basically how this works is, anyone who would like the use of the G-Tech Pro
can "sign up" for it, by sending a $5 donation to the DML. (The list is
generated on a "first come, first served" basis. I will use the envelope
postmarks to determine this order.) This will add you to the end of the
list. Eventually, the G-Tech Pro will reach you, you'll use it for up
to 2 weeks, then send it on to the next person. To track the current
location of the G-Tech, where its been, and the person you need to send
it to, you can refer to this site.
A link to the manufacturer, for those of you
who might be wondering
just what the heck this G-tech Pro thing is.
Here is the owner's manual, provided in PDF format by
Bernd D. Ratsch. (bernd@texas.net) A word of warning: its almost 10MB! Don't worry, it'll be included with the G-tech
itself, so you shouldn't need to download it, unless you want to read up on
it beforehand, of course. Back to the DML Home Page
