0 | I ordered my truck direct from my local dealer - I picked it up after it sat on the lot for 3 days. At delivery - paint on tailgate and rear fenders was all scratched / hazy from some type of cover that rubbed / made contact with paint. At delivery, power steering fluid was WELL below the ADD line when warm. - Noticed after I test drove truck. Truck died once with 45 miles on odometer - has not since repeated. At 2000 RPM, I experience a vibration / harmonic noise, appears to be nothing more than an annoyance so far - it has done this since I first test drove it with 0 miles to present, 700 miles. I've noticed that when I put the truck into park from drive, it has a tendency to clunk into park and sort of lurch backward, like it's releasing the suspension energy. Interior came with what the dealer is calling factory "grease" stains. They will try to clean the interior up when they fix / repaint the tailgate and fenders. Windshield wiper is also mal-aligned. The passenger wiper is cockeyed about 7-10 degrees up, I will probably just fix this myself. I know that I have to allow the engine to fully wear in before I can get an accurate gas mileage reading, but right now, it's not anywhere near the 15-20 that the sticker advertised. I am curious if any other 4.7 owners are having poor mileage too. |

3000 | In March at about 3k miles we received an Emmisions Recall to reprogram the powertrain control module. The problem... The On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) system will not detect a catalyst failure as required by Federal Emissions Regulations. |
4000 | At 4k miles a whine/howl coming from the rear end was discovered. Also, the power steering pump is making noises. Every now and then when taking off slow the transmission seems to stay in a low gear as if it were in a 'bull dog' gear, but stops once some speed is gained. |

unknown | 1. Rough idle. 2. Bed Misaligned. Taking to dealer for fix. 3. Leaking trans fluid. Took to dealer twice. Second time, called Chrysler and they found a pinched vent line on transmission. This is a known problem. 4. I also have the strange rub/vibration in the gas pedel at 2000 RPMS and 60 MPH. Dealer said they could feel something but had no idea what it was and no to worry about it. |

0 | When ambient temperature under hood gets high enough fan clutch kicks in. This causes the engine to seem like it's roaring but going nowhere. The truck actually has the same amount of power. It just sounds like it's revving a lot higher. This is a known problem (DC says it's not a problem but enough complaints have caused a TSB to be written). |

0 | The emissions sticker that was placed on the under side of the hood was for a 3.9L v-6 and not for my 4.7L v-8. |
1000 | At 1000 miles I noticed there are what appears to be stress cracks in both fog lights, the cracks are identical on the left light and the right. The fold down center console gets binded up occasionally when trying to open it. |

10 | Had a "whine" coming from the rear end. This problem was dicovered by a service tech who test drove the truck upon delivery. Pulled the cover off the rear end and discovered "loose bolts". All "bolts" were tightened, no more noise. This truck has the 3.92 gear ratio (DMH) and Sure-Grip Differential (DSA) |
300 | Noticed rough idle at around 300 miles.Took truck to dealer and had service tech check it out. Was told that the idle was normal. Truck still idles very rough. |

10 | I've had aproblem with the idle since I got the truck with 10 miles on it, But now I'm having it seen to.The idle problem I'm having is this - when the air or heat(middle knob is ON) is on, the idle will hang around 1000 rpm's when you mash the clutch in and you're moving. When the middle knob is in the off position, the idle will fluctuate greatly when the clutch is mashed in(between 400&900rpm's). When you come to a complete stop with the clutch mashed in,the idle likes to hunt around about 3 times going from about 350 to 700 rpm's and settling at 600.When the motor hits 350-400 rpm's, it shakes pretty good and feels like it's going to die.Right now, Dodge is trying to blame this problem on winter gas mixes in the warmer southern states, but I think that they just don't know what the problem is and don't want to say it.The percentage of 4.7L owners having similar problems is overwhelming. I think this a is a serious problem and it concerns me greatly. |
